OTR NOAT Concentrate Antifreeze/Coolant – 1 Gallon
Keep your heavy-duty diesel engine cooling system protected with OTR NOAT Concentrate Antifreeze/Coolant – 1 Gallon. This ethylene glycol-based coolant is formulated to help protect engine cooling systems against corrosion, rust, freezing, and overheating in demanding commercial truck applications.
Using Nitrited Organic Acid Technology (NOAT), this concentrated antifreeze is intended for cooling systems that specify a compatible NOAT coolant formulation. It is an excellent maintenance option for commercial truck fleets, diesel repair shops, owner-operators, and heavy-duty equipment operators.
Important: This product is a concentrated antifreeze/coolant and must be properly diluted with water before use. It is not a ready-to-use 50/50 premix.
OTR NOAT Concentrate Coolant Features & Benefits
- Heavy-Duty NOAT Formulation: Nitrited Organic Acid Technology for compatible diesel engine cooling systems.
- Corrosion Protection: Helps protect cooling system metals against corrosion and rust.
- Freeze Protection: Helps prevent coolant freezing when diluted to the appropriate concentration.
- Overheating Protection: Supports effective engine temperature regulation and cooling system performance.

What Is NOAT Antifreeze/Coolant?
NOAT stands for Nitrited Organic Acid Technology. This type of coolant combines organic acid corrosion inhibitors with nitrite-based protection and is commonly used in certain heavy-duty diesel engine cooling systems.
NOAT coolant formulations are designed to help protect engine cooling system components, including radiators, cylinder liners, water pumps, and other metal surfaces, when used in approved applications.
Not all heavy-duty engines require NOAT coolant. Some manufacturers specify nitrite-free OAT, conventional coolant, or other proprietary coolant technologies. Always confirm the required coolant specification before use.
Heavy-Duty Diesel Engine Cooling System Protection
Commercial diesel engines operate under demanding loads and temperatures. Maintaining the correct coolant chemistry and concentration is essential for protecting cooling system components and supporting reliable engine operation.
OTR NOAT Concentrate Antifreeze/Coolant helps provide:
- Protection against cooling system corrosion
- Protection against rust formation
- Freeze protection when properly diluted
- Boil-over resistance when used in a properly functioning cooling system
- Support for efficient heat transfer and temperature regulation
- Protection for compatible heavy-duty cooling system components
Concentrated Antifreeze – Dilution Instructions
OTR NOAT Concentrate must be mixed with water before being added to the engine cooling system.
A 50/50 mixture of antifreeze concentrate and suitable water is commonly used in heavy-duty cooling systems, provided this concentration is approved by the engine manufacturer and product label.
- 50% Coolant Concentrate: 1 gallon of OTR NOAT Concentrate
- 50% Water: 1 gallon of suitable water
- Approximate Final Volume: 2 gallons of mixed coolant
Use deionized or distilled water when recommended by the coolant or engine manufacturer. Always follow the product label for approved mixing ratios and verify the final coolant concentration with an appropriate test instrument.
Do not pour undiluted concentrate into a cooling system unless specifically instructed by the applicable service procedure.
Compatible Heavy-Duty Truck Applications
OTR NOAT Concentrate Antifreeze/Coolant is intended for compatible commercial diesel engines and equipment that require a nitrited organic acid technology coolant.
Potential applications include properly specified cooling systems in:
- Heavy-duty semi trucks
- Commercial diesel trucks
- Fleet vehicles
- Vocational trucks
- Construction equipment
- Industrial diesel equipment
- Other engines requiring a compatible NOAT coolant
Fitment Note: Coolant compatibility is determined by the engine manufacturer's required coolant specification, not simply the truck brand or engine manufacturer. Verify compatibility before use, especially when servicing Detroit Diesel, Cummins, PACCAR, Volvo, Mack, or International engines.
When Should You Replace Diesel Engine Coolant?
Coolant condition should be evaluated according to the engine manufacturer's maintenance schedule and the coolant supplier's testing recommendations.
Cooling system service may be necessary when:
- Coolant testing indicates depleted corrosion protection
- Coolant is contaminated with oil, fuel, or debris
- Coolant concentration is outside the approved range
- The cooling system has undergone major repairs
- Coolant chemistry is unknown or incompatible
- The specified coolant service interval has been reached
Always inspect hoses, radiator connections, the water pump, thermostat, and other cooling system components during maintenance.

Coolant Compatibility & Mixing Precautions
Do not mix different coolant technologies unless compatibility is specifically confirmed by the coolant and engine manufacturers. Mixing incompatible coolants may reduce corrosion protection or affect the cooling system's maintenance requirements.
Coolant color alone is not a reliable indicator of chemical compatibility. Verify the coolant type, specifications, and service history before topping off or replacing coolant.
Safety & Handling Information
This product contains ethylene glycol, which is harmful if swallowed. Keep away from children and animals, avoid unnecessary skin contact, and follow all label and Safety Data Sheet instructions.
Never remove the radiator or expansion tank cap while the cooling system is hot or pressurized. Collect used antifreeze and dispose of it according to applicable environmental regulations.
